I've noticed around the net in blogs, and on Usenet that there is a lot of enthusiasm around the net for the Supermarket Strikes. Those who are worker advocates are excited that the workers get to stick it to "the man". But who gets hurt if there is a protacted strike. Safeway has not had good profit margins, and more loss of profits could result in more store closings. Walmart who is not Union and pays its employees less is sure to benefit from a strike. The issue of ever increasing medical insurance and costs is a bigger issue that effects us all.
