CBS 'Fesses Up

Its been proven and pretty much universally accepted that CBS and Dan Rather had been duped. The Bush Air National Guard. What's weird is that despite the overwhelming proof Dan Rather and CBS haven't apologized to its viewers or even admitted that they were wrong. The stubbornness of the network has brought its ratings into the toilet. Their executives are even dumping the stock

We, the digital brownshirts and pajama bloggers, had kept the story going. It had become obvious the 4 papers were forged and they were most likely forged and/or supplied by Bill Burkett. Its been more than a week later, and CBS is about ready to admit they were fooled. Its to late! We already knew that. We knew that a week ago. Where were they then?

There has been a lot of talk comparing the old news media and the new media. Talk of the old media being replaced by the new. Its all gulldroppings, It a symbionic relationship. The old media, has the resources and the consistency of being mainstream. We the New Media have the million sets of eyeballs to analyze and draw perspective. We will keep them honest, but more important we can go places that the old media can't go. We are opinionated, and even outrageous, but we are diverse. We, the new media, feed on the old, we need them.
