Stern and Powell Mix it Up

A San Fransico Talk show had a surprise caller during an interview Michael Powell.

Talk radio giant Howard Stern confronted his longtime FCC nemesis Michael Powell on Ronn Owens' KGO morning show on Tuesday morning.

FCC Chairman Powell's interview on the San Francisco-based show (9-10am PDT) had been promoted in the media beforehand prompting Stern to unexpectedly call in for a tense 15 minute conversation.

"The commissioner handled himself well, but seemed uncomfortable," Owens told the DRUDGE REPORT in between segments. "But he made no attempt to make me end the call.

Whats got to make one laugh is is Powells insisistance that his appointment on his own credentials. Apparently he expects us to believe he got his job on his own.

"It is apparent to most of us in broadcasting that your father got you your job," said Stern, who called in while Powell was being interviewed on San Francisco's KGO-AM 810.

Powell shot back that his father, Secretary of State Colin Powell, had nothing to do with his appointment. The FCC chief was nominated to the commission by then-President Bill Clinton and elevated to chairman by President Bush.

"You can look at my resume if you want, Howard, I'm not ashamed of it, I think it justifies my existence," he said.
But he got appointed to the commission while daddy was courting both sides. It was a shameful attempt at a bribe. He expects us to believe that patronage had nothing to do with his appoint as chairman? So far there is no Explaination of why Oprah gets a pass for covering the same topics as Stern. Perhaps because she is female and black while Stern is white and male. Judging from his actions we suspect that Michael was not breast fed as a child and he resents anyone else seeing even a glimps of a nipple..
