Its About Betrayal

Tom DeLay might be in trouble not because of his legal problems, but because he has betrayed the ones that have voted for him. The left is all giggily about his legal troubles, but I believe they know the indictment and charges are nothing but a lot of stinky smoke with no substance at all. his troubles are going to be with Republicans or right leaners. His remarks about budget trimming have left most of us fumming, and even his most ardent supporters are going to have a hard time backing up his claims. Laurence Simons doesn't sound particularly happy with ole Tom in his statements at the Pundit Roundtable.

Tom Delay recently said that there was no more room for cuts in the federal budget. I don't care if he's a saint that makes campaign money fall from the sky or if he rapes and murders puppies to raise money from perverted psychopaths with big checkbooks - it takes a special kind of asshole to say such a thing and that kind of asshole doesn't need to be in Washington representing any portion of this country.

So beautifully stated.
