Taking a Stand
At The Truth Laid Bear they are asking for bloggers to state their opinion on the Miers nomination. OK, Here it is:I oppose the Miers nomination.
Regrettably though. I am not crazy about giving the Democrats a victory, and find it disgusting the way that the nominees are inquisitioned, but I have to be honest, it's really disgraceful that Bush would nominate a candidate for the Supreme court that wasn't the best that this nation has to offer.
Update: Although the poll may not be scientific as a poll of Americans. It can be said that it reflects the thoughts of some politically active, influentual, conservative, bloggers. These are
mostly folks that are looking for excuses to support President Bush. So far:
218 blogs 69.9 % oppose Miers Nomination
48 blogs 15.4 % are neutral
46 blogs 14.7 % Are Supportive
The liberals aren't going to like her either.
