A Meeting on the Border.
On Christmas day three of us, My wife Equality, her sister ruok I were near El Pasoo, on our way to Phoenix from our home in Galveston. We veared off I-10 near the intersection of Texas, New Mexico, and Mexico. I wanted a picture of the long fence line seperating two nations. I had seen the fence on an earlier trip to El Paso, the image fascinated me and I wanted to share it with the ladies.
There is a small shanty town divided by a fence. The Mexican side is not quite as beat up as the American side. .I noticed a group of people behind me where I took my picture and observed the long fenceline . I don't know what they were doing. I don't know if they were smuggling drugs, or just exchanging Christmas greetings. I do know the fence wasn't keeping any one out. and as far as this group of people were concerned it was only a minor obstacle. We didn't stick around to find out.
