Loyalty.

The first rule one must understand when running for office is to know your constituency. Martha Coakley called and insisted that Curt Shilling was a a Yankees fan. One has to understand that the state of Massachusetts takes their Red Socks very seriously and that Curt Shilling has earned a place of honor higher than any any Governor or other politician. To the folks of Massachusetts this is the same scale of blunder as calling George Washington a Marxist. No, it's even worse than that. Washington never gave Boston a World Series.

Coakley to the delight of conservatives everywhere can't resist opening her mouth on things she is clueless about She is kinda like Houston's Sheila Jackson Lee.

Curt responded on his blog.
But never, and I mean never, could anyone ever make the mistake of calling me a Yankee fan. Well, check that, if you didn’t know what the hell is going
on in your own state maybe you could….
